Sticky Shoes!

I’ve discovered a genius product that I wish I’d found years ago. Sticky Shoes shoe tape is a double sided super-strong adhesive tape that keeps your shoes right where they’re supposed to be, securely on your feet!

No more slipping and sliding out of heels that are slightly big. Simply peel the backing on each double-sided strip and and firmly press down on the inside heel portion of your shoe. Done! Those shoes aren’t going anywhere you aren’t. Walk, skip and run with confidence–you won’t leave those shoes behind!

Sticky Shoes, 12 pairs/$8.95, www.stickyshoes.com.

Scent of a Man

Still looking for a special holiday gift for the man in your life?

Flying under the radar is the must-have fragrance for the new year by famed celebrity photographer John Russo. His eponymous “Photograph for Men” began as a personal gift to some of his better-known subjects like Matt Damon and Brad Pitt before becoming available to the masses. It’s a clean, modern earthy scent with top  notes of mandarin, orange and bergamot, a heart of ginger and leather and a base of smoky tobacco. It’s fresh and masculine all at once, a combo that can’t be beat. Photograph for Men, $65 at beverlyhills.montageshops.com.

…and if you subscribe to the same holiday shopping motto that I believe in (one for you, one for me!) you’ll want to snap up his beautiful woman’s fragrance as well. “Photograph for Women” is a fresh floral with notes of freesia, peach, gardenia and amber. Happy Feet to Go!

It was my third or fourth date with the man who is now my husband. I don’t remember what I was wearing but I do remember the shoes. They were gorgeous, strappy snakeskin sandals. When I tried them on in the store about a year earlier I knew I had to have them. I slipped them on, looked in the mirror and loved what I saw in my reflection. I instantly felt sexier, more desirable and extra-confident.

The fact that they weren’t very comfortable was just a side note. I knew I wouldn’t get much wear out of them but that was beside the point. I lived in the city so taking a cab and walking a few steps to my destination didn’t seem like such a big deal…until I had to walk more than a few steps. I remember a stroll after dinner that became a piggyback ride that morphed into me walking barefoot. If only I’d had Kushyfoot Flats to Go! tucked into my bag.

What: Slip off those killer heels that kill your feet and slip into Kushyfoot Flats to Go!. These stylish faux leather, lightweight ballet flats fold easily into their small portable pouch.

Why: Because you’re sick and tired of your feet feeling sick and tired and these flats with reflexology soles make it easy to pamper and relieve your aching feet.

When: Whenever your feet need  a break. Keep them in your bag 24/7 so they’re good to go whenever you need them.

Where: Kushyfoot Flats to Go!, $9.99 at kushyfoot.com.

BEE…AUTIFUL!!!

I’ve been using the Savannah Bee Honey Body Washes these past few weeks and they’re fantastic! They smell otherworldly-good and they contain all natural ingredients including Royal Jelly, Propolis Extract and Honey to gently exfoliate, soften and repair your skin. Now I can keep the softness and delicious scent going with Savannah Bee Honey Body Lotions.

Perfect for you or a nice stocking stuffer for someone else, Savannah Bee Honey Body Lotions use high quality oils (coconut, sunflower, sesame, safflower and argan) combined with certified organic aloe vera leaf juice. They’re all-natural with no parabens or petroleum and they smell unbelievably great! The tupelo honey (my favorite!) smells warm and comforting, the lemongrass spearmint is refreshing and the wild blackberry smells sweet as pie. No matter what your taste in scent one of these is right for you. And better yet, they provide potent hydration for skin that’s healthy and super-soft.

To purchase: Savannah Bee Honey Body Wash and Savannah Bee Honey Body Lotion,  $10 each at www.savannahbee.com.

Want Healthy, Shiny Hair?

Product Review: Lissea Smoothing Conditioner for Unruly Hair

I hope you all had a wonderful, long Thanksgiving weekend. In the spirit of Thanksgivukkah, my family and I have been stating what we’re thankful for each time we light the menorah. Things like family, friends, good health and our pets top the list, but we’ve also mentioned cupcakes, Harry Potter, football games, rainy nights, British accents, long hikes, great books and even products that do what they promise to do (clearly, that one came from me!).

Lissea Smoothing Conditioner for Unruly Hair is one of those products that does what it promises so if your hair has been a bit more naughty than nice of late you’ll want to try it. Ideal for medium to thick hair it has a nice fresh scent thanks to Ginger, Jasmine and Vanilla plus it also contains Alkekenge extract to smooth and control volume and frizz, Avocado oil to nourish and moisturize, a Thermal protecting complex for anti-humidity protection, Cationic complex and polymers for static control and detangling.

Post-shampoo, comb through and leave on for 2-3 minutes before rinsing for hair that’s smooth, shiny and silky-soft. You’ll be thankful you did!

To purchase:  Lissea Smoothing Conditioner for Unruly Hair, $30 at dermstore.com.
